The fifth stage of the trail explores the “mid-slope” connections, running parallel to the sea between alleyways and terraced fields that characterise this stretch of land, famous the world over for its cultural landscapes. From Maiori you reach Minori by crossing the characteristic Lemon Path, before following the coast along centuries-old streets. Finally, you reach Atrani and Amalfi, in time for a visit to their sights.
The route is quite short and moderately challenging due to the presence of steps, but overall the elevation change is consistent with that of a medium/easy-level hike. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes, dress in layers, and bring a hat and a few spare items of clothing (socks, t-shirt). There are public drinking fountains along the route, so it is useful to bring a water bottle of at least 1L. If you intend to walk several consecutive stages of the trail, check the availability of accommodation along the route. It is recommended to download the route tracks onto your phone and install one of the main hiking apps (OSMand, Locus Map, Komoot, Strava) to follow the correct route.
