The Marini village, which was part of the Municipality of Vietri from 1806 to 1834, offers a wide view of the Cava valley and gathers its few houses around the parish church, dedicated to Saint Mark the Evangelist, which dominates the older part of the settlement in the shadow of the looming Mount San Liberatore.
The small church welcomes the visitor with a wealth of stucco work and paintings that is fascinating.
On the high altar, the oil painting depicts the patron saint, Saint Mark; to the left, one can admire the altar of the Madonna of the Rosary, surrounded by illustrations of the mysteries, a signed work from 1706 by Gioacchino Orgitano. The original small church houses the painting of St Mary of Constantinople. Period documents attest that during the 17th and 18th centuries everything was enlarged and improved. Of interest is the Chapel of the Crucifix, rich in stucco work, which contains 18th-century tomb slabs.
